In 2009, Schenck developed the NuP+ diaphragm coupling specifically for variable-frequency drive units, successfully addressing the challenging issue of torsional oscillations caused by frequency converter harmonics. This coupling can also absorb up to 90% of the torsional shocks generated by reciprocating compressors and high-speed diesel engines. It is now widely used in these types of units, with consistently excellent performance across the board.
