About us

In 2016

The company has successfully developed the NUTEX variable-torque coupling, a product that not only absorbs torque fluctuations and shock from reciprocating compressor units powered by diesel engines but also effectively addresses industry challenges in applications such as chemical feedstock gas compression units and ethylene pelletizing systems—specifically, issues related to increased torque during gear unit connections. Additionally, the elastic sleeve’s service life has been extended from 3.5 months to over 5 years, while the back-tooth design boosts torque transmission capacity by more than double.

2015

In March, the high-speed coupling of an imported centrifugal compressor at Cangzhou Zhengyuan Chemical suffered severe damage. Schenck Company, however, managed to produce a replacement coupling in just 5 days, and after installation, it performed flawlessly.

2014

Shenk Company has successfully developed China's first oscillating synchronous automatic clutch and a mobile synchronous automatic clutch—currently produced by only two companies worldwide. With this achievement, Shenk Company has now entered the high-end manufacturing sector in this specialized field.

2014

In collaboration with Siemens, we successfully developed a coupling capable of transmitting torsional torque up to 4000 kNm. Additionally, working with a leading defense industry enterprise, we designed and manufactured a coupling measuring 11 meters in length, weighing 17 tons, and delivering a power output of 80,000 kW.

2013

Successfully developed a fully automatic auxiliary start/turning gear system for large-scale units, replacing the imported high-end auxiliary start/turning gear equipment.

2012

The oscillating overrunning clutch has been successfully developed, featuring high torque, adjustable speed settings, and zero sticking. This product represents a domestic breakthrough and has effectively replaced the conventional wedge-block clutch.

2010

Schenk Corporation has developed a peak-torque filtering coupling for use in wind power equipment.

2010

Complete the parametric drawing. Couplings and clutches both undergo strength and rotor dynamics calculations using the finite element method (ANSYS).

2010

Building on foreign technology, the company has developed an improved version of the 3S clutch—the mobile synchronous automatic clutch—which is now being supplied to over ten enterprises.

2009

Schenk has developed the NuP+ diaphragm coupling specifically for variable-frequency units, successfully addressing the challenging issue of torsional oscillations caused by variable-frequency harmonics. This coupling also effectively absorbs up to 90% of the torsional shocks generated by reciprocating compressors and high-speed diesel engines.

2008

Shenk Company has successfully developed a 3DS fully dynamic balancing coupling that meets world-class standards. Utilizing on-site dynamic balancing interfaces and phase-magnetic strip pre-setting technology, the system can completely eliminate shaft vibration in just one startup. In the same year, Shenk also introduced the U.S. Rubber Block Coupling and the Universal Elastic Coupling—both of which represent domestic firsts.

2007

The company's domestically produced, first-of-its-kind synchronous automatic clutch has been put into operation at the Sino-foreign joint venture Jiangsu United Cement Company.

2006

The company successfully tested its membrane disc coupling, developed using cutting-edge U.S. technology, and is now supplying products to customers such as Shenyang Blower Group and Siemens. Additionally, the product has been exported to Iran.

2005

At the request of British company Gauteng (one of the world's largest wind turbine manufacturers), we have produced over 300 high-power, long-axle-distance diaphragm couplings for them, and these units are now fully operational.

2005

The company has put the 80,000 rpm coupling and high-speed sliding bearings, developed for Xi'an Jiaotong University, into operation.

2004

Designated by the U.S.-based GE Company as China's partner for the coupling project, we are jointly participating in several imported coupling renovation projects subcontracted by GE.

1998

We have become the translation unit for API 671—the U.S. Petroleum Institute standard for flexible couplings—and are now a Chinese manufacturer producing couplings strictly according to the API 671 standard.

1997

We have received an invitation from the British Mitchell Mechanical Society to attend the International Diaphragm Coupling Symposium.

1995

In collaboration with Xi'an Jiaotong University and Sinopec Beijing Design Institute, a high-speed, high-power diaphragm coupling has been developed, along with custom-designed computer software. This software has been successfully applied to calculate critical parameters of the coupling, including alternating stress, torsional stiffness, critical speed, and additional bending moments.

1993

In May, Schenck, representing the manufacturer, participated in drafting the "National Standard for Diaphragm Couplings" at Liaoning Building.

1988

Self-manufactured diaphragm couplings.
